Lady Pirates basketball rebounded well after a hard fought loss to start the season by defeating John Wood CC 97-72 on Sunday. 15th ranked NCMC was in command of the contest from the 2nd quarter on when they opened up a 17-point halftime margin. The victory improved the team's record to 1-1.
Leading the scoring for NCMC was Lily Osborn with 26 points, including 8 made three pointers. Also eclipsing the 20-point plateau was Maci Moore, who totaled 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for her second straight double-double off the bench.
Next action for NCMC will be when they hit the road Tuesday to take on Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO.
