Solid Victory For The Lady Pirates

Lady Pirates basketball got off to a flying start for the second half of the season with a 67-34 victory over Ellsworth Community College on Wednesday.  The win moves the team's record to 11-5 ahead of a Region XVI clash with St. Louis Community College on Saturday.  That road game will kick off the region schedule for the Lady Pirates.

Despite the sizeable margin of victory, Coach Jenni Croy still sees room for improvement for her team.  "It was good to get a win the first game off break. Our offense struggled, but I felt defensively we did some good things."

Top scorers for NCMC were Kortlyn Rounkles with 14 points, Kennedie Kieffer added 13 points, and McKenzie McBee totaled 10 points.

Ellsworth CC's record fell to 0-14 for the season.
