Florida Trip Split For Lady Pirates

Lady Pirates basketball split their Florida trip games to conclude their fall semester schedule.  The trip opened with a 53-39 win over ASA-Miami before the Lady Pirates took defeat at Miami Dade College 96-69.  NCMC's record at the halfway point of the season sits at 10-5.

NCMC posted a comeback win in the opener after trailing by 7 points heading into the 4th quarter.  However, NCMC dominated the final period 28-7.  Kortlyn Rounkles had a big game in the win against ASA.  She totaled 22 points, the only Lady Pirate in double digits.

Against Miami Dade, the game was extremely close at halftime with NCMC trailing 43-41.  The 3rd quarter sunk the Lady Pirates, being outscored 26-7.  That deficit was too much to overcome.  Rounkles again led the way with 24 points.  Lily Osborn and Kennedie Kieffer each add 11 points.

NCMC is back in action January 8th when they host Ellsworth Community College at the Ketcham Community Center.
