10-point Victory For Women's Basketball

The NCMC Lady Pirates improved their record to 7-3 Saturday with an 82-72 home win over Southeast Community College.  Their next action will be a home matchup Tuesday against John Wood Community College, a team that currently sits at 1-7 on the year.

Against Southeast, the Lady Pirates took a commanding 10-point lead after the first quarter.  Heading into halftime, Southeast had cut that lead to 5.  It wasn't until fourth quarter push that the Lady Pirates sealed the victory.  Turnovers by NCMC, 29 in the game, let SCC hang around until the end.

26 points by Kortlyn Rounkles led the Lady Pirates.  Lily Osborn (17pts) and Kennedie Kieffer (12pts) were the other two NCMC players in double figures.  Da'Briauna Bables controlled the boards pulling down 14 rebounds.
