Lady Pirates Basketball went on the road Tuesday to defeat Central Methodist University JV 83-64 to improve their record to 4-2 for the season. The next action for NCMC will be Friday and Saturday matchups in the KCKCC Classic, which is held on the campus of Kansas City Kansas Community College. Friday's matchup will see the Lady Pirates take on Fort Scott Community College. Earlier this season NCMC defeated the Greyhounds 70-53. Saturday, Coach Croy's squad match up with the Classic's host KCKCC, a team that is currently ranked 4th in the nation.
NCMC held a 45-23 halftime lead and coasted to victory on Tuesday. Kortlyn Rounkles again paced the Lady Pirates offense. She scored 21 point while fellow freshman Kennedie Kieffer added 20 points.
