Lady Pirates Basketball dropped a home matchup Wednesday evening to Southeast Community College 90-78.  NCMC is now 6-8 on the season ahead of the first Region 16 matchup Saturday against St. Louis Community College.  Tipoff is set for 1:00pm in the Ketcham Community Center.

Coach Jenni Croy had these comments following the loss.  "We got off to a slow start.  We competed for two quarters, the 2nd and the 3rd, but we have to put together four solid quarters.  We rushed offensively in the first and we didn't defend in the fourth.  If we can compete like we did in the second and third quarters for a full game, we can give ourselves a chance to win games."

The leading scorer for NCMC was Megan Ernzen with 18 points.  Also in double figures were Maddison Book with 17 points off the bench and Karrisa Baber chipping in 10 points.
