The Lady Pirates kicked off the new year with a win Sunday afternoon against the University of St. Mary JV 84-55.  The win improves the team record to 12-3 overall.

Leading the way for the Pirates were sophomores Kendey Eaton (24 points) and Sarah Lamp (15 points).  Whitley Richman also chipped in with 14 rebounds.

"It was a good win for our first game back after a two week break. I thought we were a little discombobulated at times, but that's expected after the break. Now we focus on Wednesday's game," remarked Coach Croy.  Wednesday the Lady Pirates will be on the road to face Southeast Community College, who carry a current record of 6-9 into the contest.
