NCMC Softball Claims Opener, Drops Final Three In Region 16 Matchup

Pirate's softball now holds a 12-12 record after losing three out of four to NJCAA Region 16 foe Three Rivers Community College over the weekend.  Their next action will be more region play as they host State Fair CC on Tuesday for a doubleheader. 

 

NCMC earned their victory in game one of the series 5-3.  Lauren Krohn kept the potent Raiders offense at bay by striking out 12 in the complete game victory.  She scattered 7 hits and surrendered 2 earned runs.

 

Chloe Bell, Gracie McKinney and Emma Angel each had a pair of hits in the win.  The Pirates erased a 3-2 deficit in the game with 3 runs in the 6th inning to earn the victory.

 

Final scores in the three defeats were 16-7, 5-1 and 10-4.
