NCMC softball notched a pair of home Region 16 wins Monday over St. Charles CC 1-0 and 6-2. Overall, the Lady Pirates are now 38-10 and 12-8 in region play.
Casey Stout tossed a no-hitter in the opener to move her season record to 22-2 with a 1.59 ERA and 250 strikeouts. Her ERA is 15th best in the nation among NJCAA DI pitchers and her strikeout total ranks 2nd. In a word, dominating!
Sammi Bradshaw got the win in game two with a complete game, 3-hitter striking out 9.
Abby Dobbins went 1-2 with a double and an RBI in the opening game. Erica Sandoval scored the lone run.
Sandoval also scored 2 runs from the leadoff position in game two. Kaycia Williamson went 2-3.
Next up for NCMC is a home doubleheader against Jefferson College on Wednesday. Between games, lone sophomore Maycee Edgar will be recognized for her efforts for the Lady Pirates.
