Lady Pirates Softball split their games over the weekend. Things started off well with NCMC sweeping Central Community College-Columbus 5-4 and 11-4 in their home openers. On the road at 19th ranked Crowder College, the tables were turned with the Lady Pirates getting swept 13-3 and 5-0. The team's record now sits at 8-2.
In the home wins, Casey Stout continued her dominance as a pitcher. She tossed a scoreless inning in the opener, striking out one and earning a save. As the starter in game two, she totaled 6 innings pitched with 11 strikeouts to get the win.
Next up for the Lady Pirates is a Tuesday road trip to Missouri Valley College JV. Those games will have a first pitch of 2pm.
