Lady Pirates softball got their season off to a flying start with a four game sweep of North Arkansas College this past weekend.  NCMC won each game by the mercy rule.  Final scores were 22-2, 12-0, 12-0 and 11-3.

Leading the Lady Pirates offense was sophomore Jacqueline Gentzell who batted .778 with 2 homeruns and 11 RBIs.  As a team, NCMC posted a .469 batting average against North Ark.

McKenzie Brown and Gabrielle Stage each earned two victories from the pitcher's circle.  Brown tossed a total of 7 shutout innings and Stage had complete games in each of her victories.

Next up for NCMC will be four road games at Neosho County Community College on Saturday and Sunday.  The home opener for the Lady Pirates is not until Monday, March 23^rd.
