NCMC Softball went 1-3 in recent Region 16 action. On Friday, the Lady Pirates traveled to Crowder College and took 5-1 and 9-1 losses. Monday saw the team split a road doubleheader at State Fair Community College winning 9-1 and losing 5-4. The Lady Pirates are now 27-16 overall and 10-10 in region play.
Alex Miller took on loss at Crowder before bouncing back to earn the win against State Fair. Against the Roadrunners, she allowed only 2 hits and 1 run in the complete game effort. She also struck out 8 batters.
Kendra Holt knocked her 5th home run of the season in the Lady Pirates lone victory.
Next action for NCMC will be a home doubleheader on Friday against Jefferson College. The games will also mark sophomore day, with ceremonies to be held between games.
