Softball Signs Maycee Edgar

Lady Pirates Softball has signed Maycee Edgar to a scholarship for the 2019-20 school year.  Edgar, a standout pitcher and hitter from Marceline High School, will bring that versatility to NCMC.  "Maycee is a great addition to our softball program," commented Coach Richman.  "She will bring a wealth of experience on the mound and knows how to win.  We will utilize her on the mound as well as other places on the field.  She also brings a great bat to the lineup."

During her senior season, Edgar led her team to a 19-4 record plus maintained an earned run average under 2 runs per game.  She walked just 21 batters in 103 innings while striking out 99.  At the plate, she finished with a .410 average.

Edgar, who plans to study exercise science in college, is an excellent student as well carrying a 4.0 GPA through high school.  She is a member of the National Honor Society, Principal's Honor Roll, and the 2017-18 Academic All-State Softball Team.  "Maycee is a high character young lady that will represent NCMC very well," concluded Richman.
