Lady Pirates Softball took two losses to conclude their season at the Region 16 Tournament this past weekend. Friday, the #4 seed Lady Pirates fell 7-5 to the #5 seed MCC-Maple Woods Monarchs. That loss put NCMC into the loser's bracket where they faced #2 seed Jefferson College on Saturday. In extra innings, NCMC was defeated 6-4. With the losses, the Lady Pirates finished the year with a 34-17 record.
Several Lady Pirates earned All-Region honors for their regular season efforts prior to the tournament. Freshmen Kaitlyn Marsh and Alex Miller earned First Team distinction. Miller, Kendra Holt, and Makayla Lamphier were awarded Second Team honors.
