Pirates basketball kept up their winning ways to start the second semester on Saturday when they defeated Labette CC 98-81 in front of the home crowd.  With the win, NCMC is now 12-4 and receiving votes in the latest NJCAA DII poll.

Leading the way for NCMC was Nelson Reynolds with 22 points.  The dynamic duo of Gerald Gittens and Carlton Thomas each posted 19 points off the bench for the deep Pirates team.  As a whole, NCMC shot a sparkling 51.4% from the field though they will look to improve from their 59.1% mark from the charity stripe.

Next action will be a home tilt with Graceland University JV on Thursday night.
