Pirates basketball took a 96-81 loss on Tuesday night at Ellsworth Community College in a battle of top-notch NJCAA DII combatants. A revamped Ellsworth squad, currently ranked 7th in the nation, outscored the Pirates in each quarter taking the game decisively. A year ago, the team was just 15-16 and took an 8-point loss to NCMC.
Coach Esry's squad will look to rebound from their current 3-game losing streak when they host Hannibal LaGrange University JV on Thursday night. That game is set to tipoff at 7:00pm in the Ketcham Community Center.
