Guy Moran from Centralia, MO, has been selected as North Central Missouri College's Outstanding Student for March. Guy, a Missouri A+ scholarship student, will graduate in May with his associate in arts in teaching (AAT) degree from NCMC. After graduating from NCMC, Guy will continue his collegiate basketball career and obtain his bachelor's degree in secondary education.
Along with being on the NCMC Pirates basketball team, Guy is also involved with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), Student Support Services, the Baptist Student Union, and a Residence Assistant (RA). His favorite classes are education courses with NCMC teacher education instructor Cassie Corday. "I enjoy the way Mrs. Cordray teaches," said Guy. "She's my instructor, advisor, and like a mom away from home." Guy went on to say, "I like how NCMC is small, so you get to know everyone. I've made a lot of friendships, and you get to know people like family."
Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on their dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning, and hard work in their field and activities.
