Disappointing End To The First Half Of The Pirates Basketball Season

Pirates Basketball took a tough home loss on Wednesday when they fell to 14th ranked Johnson County Community College 104-74.  The 30-point loss is the worst of the season for the Pirates and will serve as motivation going into the holiday break.  Next action for the 7-6 NCMC squad will be January 9th when they host Southeast Community College.

Coach Esry had these comments following the loss.  "Johnson County dominated us in every aspect of the game last night and we had a pretty disappointing way to end our first semester because of it.  The only thing we have been consistent with so far is our inconsistency.  Hopefully after last night, our guys have realized how hard and how aggressive they have to play every possession.  We now have a long break ahead of us and a lot of reflection to do on what type of team we want to be second semester."
