Pirates Bounce Back On The Road Against North Arkansas

Pirate's Men's Basketball had a nice showing Saturday with their 93-89 win on the road at North Arkansas College.  The Pirates, now 11-8 on the year, will next host Ottawa University JV on Wednesday at the Ketcham Community Center.

The win was a nice bounce back for the Pirates who had dropped three straight games.  "I was really proud of how our guys responded to a very tough week.  I hope we learned a lot about ourselves and that if we remain positive and stay the course, good things will happen," commented Esry of his team's overcoming recent woes.

Three Pirates did the majority of the scoring on Saturday.  Jalen Gant posted 19 points and 16 rebounds in a strong performance.  Ryan Ward led with 20 points and freshman Jordan Reece added 19 points.

"I thought we did a great job Saturday of playing with a lot of energy and doing whatever it took to win. North Ark is a very good team and very well coached; we knew that we were going to have to try to match their intensity and effort all game and for the most part I think we did.  We had some guys step up big for us when it counted the most," concluded Esry.
