Pirates Baseball Keeps Up Winning Ways

Pirates Baseball picked up a pair of easy victories on Wednesday at home over Missouri Valley College JV 12-2 and 11-3.  The wins pushed the Pirates record to 19-16 before a 4-game home series with Dakota County Technical College this weekend.

Noah Bodenhausen stared again offensively for NCMC, going 6-8 with 6 runs scored and 4 stolen bases.  His .421 average ranks 49th best in NJCAA DII.  Tanner Sears, coming off the bench for the Pirates in both games, also had a fine day going 3-3 with 3 RBIs and 2 doubles.  The Pirates as a team hit .447 for the day.

Earning wins on the mound were sophomores Dylan Niemeyer (4-4) and Yasser Rondon (1-2).  Rondon's win was the first of his Pirates career.
