Baseball Plays 21 Innings At Missouri S&T

Pirates Baseball played 21 innings of scrimmage in Rolla, MO on Saturday against Missouri S&T.  Innings were divided into three separate games which the Pirates took defeat in by the scores of 13-3, 13-7, and 7-1.  Next fall action for NCMC will be a road trip Sunday to Truman State University.

"We have to show more consistency in our play to get some wins.  We also have to keep our focus on the big picture and improve for the games that really matter in the spring," commented NCMC Head Coach Donnie Hillerman.  "We have seen excellent play from nearly all of our players at times so we are confident that the talent is there.  Getting those performances on a regular basis will continue to be the focus of our practice and preparation."

Logan Eickhoff provided the best offensive day for the Pirates.  His 5-9 effort lifted his fall batting average to .421.  Posting a nice outing on the mound was freshman Dylan Niemeyer who recorded 3 strikeouts over 3 innings pitched.
