Pirates Baseball Goes 1-3 On Weekend Trip To St. Louis CC

Pirates Baseball took the opening game of their series with St. Louis Community College before dropping the final three to move their overall record to 13-33 for the year and 3-25 in Region XVI play.  All games were played in St. Louis this past weekend.

Earning the 11-5 win in the first game was sophomore Angel Reyes.  He tossed 5 innings allowing just 1 earned run.  He also struck out 4 batters and walked 2.  Leading the offensive charge was Braedyn Brewer's 4-5 performance, scoring 2 runs.  Kendrick Delima went 3-3 with 3 runs and 3 RBIs.

Taking losses in the remaining three games of the series were freshmen Cash Miller, Clayton Bailey, and Brandin Hallier.

Delima broke the school record for home runs in a season by knocking a solo shot game two on Friday.  His total is now 11 for the season.  He leads the 2019 Pirates in home runs (11), RBIs (42), and OPS (1.188).

Also having a nice weekend at the plate was Chris Hunter.  He went 4-9 while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2.
