Twenty-Five NCMC Pirates Named NJCAA Academic All-Americans

North Central Missouri College athletics proudly boasted twenty-five NJCAA Academic All-Americans for the 2019-20 school year.  Softball led all teams with seven individual honorees.  Baseball and men's golf each had five players earn the distinction, while women's basketball totaled four.  Women's golf posted three honorees and men's basketball had one. 

 

Academic All-Americans must earn at minimum a 3.60 cumulative GPA for the school year.  "These individuals exemplify what college athletics is all about.  Not only did they excel in their sports but they showed that being a quality student, first and foremost, is very important," remarked NCMC's SID Ryan Suttenfield.

 

1st Team Honorees (4.0 GPA):  Carson Hall (Women's Golf), Fredrik Hersley (Men's Golf), Koby Linder (Baseball), Lily Osborn (Women's Basketball), Taylor Richman (Softball), Martin Stegberg (Men's Golf), Taylor Wagner (Women's Basketball)

 

            

 

2nd Team Honorees (3.80-3.99 GPA):  Jaele Barber (Softball), Colton Barnes (Men's Golf), Anna Clariday (Women's Golf), Jentry Copple (Softball), Salem Croy (Softball), Maycee Edgar (Softball), Kennedie Kieffer (Women's Basketball), Sidney Lynch (Softball), Cash Miller (Baseball)

 

3rd Team Honorees (3.60-3.79 GPA):  Jackson Boenker (Baseball), Josephine Deen (Softball), Logan Eickhoff (Baseball), Demarius Houston (Men's Basketball), Trey Howell (Men's Golf), Pirmin Kamm (Men's Golf), Kayla Koester (Women's Basketball), Braxton Pennington (Baseball), Brooke Wendler (Women's Golf)

 

Three Pirate teams posted team GPAs above a 3.0 for the year.  Men's golf ended the year with a 3.66 team GPA, coming up a hundredth of a point short of back to back academic team national championships.  Softball posted a 3.35 GPA while women's basketball ended at 3.05.
